An Arizona couple wanted to invest in a custom retirement home they could comfortably grow old in. So, they bought the a large lot down the street from their former residence that boasted ample privacy and mountain views and hired West Construction to build a Mediterranean-style house that would be safe and serene for years to come.
It was designed to be all one level with wide doorways and a curbless shower bathroom so they could easily age in place. The timeless architecture reflects the homeowner’s taste with soaring ceilings, exposed wood beams and iron detailing.
The property was built using state-of-the-art energy efficiency techniques and includes a solar panel array that fully offsets the electrical costs, making it a power-neutral residence.
