The Saddle Rock Home Story
We love working on a custom crafted home like this. The intricate details and features allows our craftsmen and subcontractors to showcase their artistic talents.
The homeowner and her siblings were raised in the original house on the property. They looked into remodeling the house as it stood but the existing structure didn’t take advantage of the views of Camelback Mountain and downtown Phoenix, so they decided to start over.
Several light fixtures and the original front doors were salvaged from their family home before demolition and repurposed in the new home.
When you have a lot of hand-formed, handmade tiles like what you find in this home it takes somebody with great skill to be able to execute and get a great fit and finish. There's a fine line of trying to keep the handcrafted appearance but also hold a high level of precision. There's so much character in this home because of all those unique custom details . I don't think there's a wall with a square edge— everything has cut outs and grooves— it’s beautiful. There isn’t another home like it.
